HMG Jumping for Joy In Wigan

The Hollins Murray Group (HMG) are delighted to announce the recent letting to Velocity Leisure Limited at their 45,000 sqft industrial facility at Caxton Close in Wigan.

HMG and Velocity Leisure have signed a new 15 year lease from March 2016 at a rent of £220,000 pa. Following a £1.5m investment by Velocity, Caxton Close will become their second trampoline park and will be one of the largest trampoline parks in Europe.

Nick Casson, CEO of HMG comments: – We are delighted that Velocity Leisure have chosen Caxton Close to open their next centre.  The unit at Caxton Close is the ideal location for this growing industry with great visibility from junction 25 of the M6 and with plenty of amenities close by.  We wish Steve and his team all the best and welcome them to HMG’s portfolio.’

Managing Director of Velocity Leisure Steven Cosgrove said: “When we opened the original Velocity Trampoline Park in Widnes in 2015, we could never have predicted its popularity. Aside from our free-jump passes and regular activities, we are receiving increasingly high demand for our unique children’s parties, which is why my wife and business partner Cheryl and I, decided to begin the search for a second site.

We chose the venue in Wigan as it is around 19,000 sq. ft. larger than the original Velocity Trampoline Park, so we plan to house more trampolines and soft play areas and continue to host more regular schedules of our popular offerings including fitness classes, Toddler Time and Club Velocity.”

Steven added: “This site brings our total staff count to 160, and it’s wonderful to be able to continue to create jobs in Merseyside and Greater Manchester. We are thrilled to be opening our second trampoline park  in the North West and we are already looking at other sites – the future looks very exciting.”

Andrew Littler of Littler and Associates acting with B8 Real Estate for HMG commented, “Our clients are delighted to have secured Velocity as a new occupier for the area.   Our extensive knowledge of the market meant Littler and Associates were able to work with the council in managing the change of use resulting in a very positive outcome for our client.”

Velocity 2 is set to open at Caxton Close in Wigan in summer 2016.
